GGibson is a curated shop-iconic objects with style

I left the museum world in the middle 2000's and opened Gabriel Gibson Decorative Arts, a shop selling iconic objects of the past. Iconic objects of the past means everything is in great condition-mint really and absolutely typical of its time and place-- The perfect Hermes silk scarf in the 1960s, folk art pen wipes from the 1890s, or a sweet hand-decorated vase from the 1930s.

My clients are buyers that are looking for the best! Celebrities, interior designers and collectors.

Prices are not always bargains, but they reflect the rarity and condition of the objects offered for sale. I do a lot of research on prices, so you know you are getting something very special. I do offer dealer discounts on some things, so ask.

Everyone always asks me where I find my inventory and I tell them EVERYWHERE, even here on Etsy. I live in Maryland, outside of Washington, DC so many items were found all along the east coast. People often email me things they want to sell. I consider everything.

My favorite things: Cartier, Hermes, Tiffany, vintage handbags, accessories, and jewelry in great design, mid century modern, beautiful textiles, art deco, cat wire letter holders, animal portraits, vintage Christmas decorations, 1960s barware/glassware, hooked rugs, quilts and almost any folk art.
